Tree News

For years, the Tree Committee published the Tree News and sent it to all Atherton households. The newsletter provided news on currently relevant topics like the Trees for El Camino Project and the threat of Sudden Oak Death syndrome - as well as information useful to town residents in caring for their trees. The newsletters were generally financed by grants from California Releaf.

Live Oak The Atherton Tree Committee is a volunteer, non-profit, community based organization dedicated to the preservation of Atherton's heritage trees. The committee participates in a variety of programs designed to educate residents about the value of trees in our environment and to encourage appreciation and protection of our urban forest resources.
